Newly engaged country singer Jason Aldean reveals to People magazine some of his musical milestones, such as where he went for his first concert, the first song he learned and his go-to karaoke song.

"Kenny Rogers and the Gatlin Brother," revealed Aldean regarding the first concert he attended. "I was probably 5, and 'All the Gold in California' was my favorite song. They came to the Macon Coliseum [in Georgia], and somehow my mom got us tickets. They were awesome."

The "Dirt Road Anthem" singer was raised in Macon by his mother. His parents split when he was 3, but they were a fundamental part in encouraging their son into music as he progressed at playing the guitar. At 14, after watching the country-music awards, he knew that performing on stage was what he wanted to do.

"There were two, and I can't remember which came first," Aldean tried to recalled of the first song he learned to sing. "One was The Cowboy Rides Away and the other was My Home's in Alabama."

The entertainer would go on to create his own hit songs, such as "My Kinda Party," which entered the Hot Country Songs Chart at No. 41. His collaboration with Kelly Clarkson, "Don't You Wanna Stay" was performed at the CMA Awards and debuted at No. 59 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs Chart in 2010.

The country singer hit maker says his karaoke song would have to be, "Drift Away" by Dobie Gray, for sure.

"That's my go-to jam!" he said.
