Anjelica Huston's New Book Reveals Ex-Boyfriend Ryan O'Neal Brutally Assaulted Her
In Anjelica Huston's new tell-all book, Watch Me, the actress alleges that then-boyfriend, Ryan O'Neal, viciously assaulted her in the '70s.
"He turned on me, grabbed me by the hair and hit me in the forehead with the top of his skull," the actress writes.
"I saw stars and reeled back. Half blind I ran away from him."
The National Enquirer obtained an early copy of the book, which is to be published in November 11.
"Ryan was batting me about the head with an open hand," she continues in her book. "Then abruptly he left."
Allegedly, O'Neal's brother Kevin was a witness to the attack and was also there to comfort her with the surrounding security guards.
Huston had an on-and-off relationship with actor Jack Nicholson spanning from 1973-89. In her book she describes running back to Nicholson after O'Neal abused her.
"I regretted leaving Jack. I hated causing him pain."
The Oscar-winning star and daughter of legendary director John Huston states that she fell in love with Jack after she saw his 1969 film Easy Rider. "It was Jack's combination of ease and exuberance that had captured me from the moment he came on screen.
According to People the incident allegedly happened at a Beverly Hills Mansion party in the late '70s, as O'Neal became upset with her when she took her time coming back from the bathroom.
O'Neal is most noted for his relationship with the late Farrah Fawcett in which he was with her until her death in 2009.
The actress released a memoir in 2013, A Story Lately Told, in which Huston shares her childhood in Ireland, her teen years in London and her adulthood as a model and actress in New York.
