Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Posts Makeup-Free Selfie On Instagram For #WAKEUPCALL To Benefit UNICEF
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley might be a supermodel, but she proved she doesn't need all that makeup on her face to make her beautiful. The British fashionista took to her Instagram page to show off what she looks like when she wakes up in the morning, and we wish we could be so lucky. The photo is part of the new initiative called Wake Up Call, which has users of social media posting selfies right when they get up in the morning to raise money for UNICEF.
Huntington-Whitely looks gorgeous in her picture as she poses in a black-and-white lace tank top while lying in bed with her hair falling perfectly around her. The starlet captions the photo, "My #wakeupcall for @unicef_uk @unicef text SYRIA to 70007 give $5 (UK) or visit wakeupcall.org. I nominate @catdelley @gregjames17 @poppydelevingne. #wakeupcall #UNICEF."
This social media campaign is like this past summer's ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, but instead of torturing yourself by dumping freezing cold water on your head, you're torturing yourself by letting all your followers know what you look like when waking up in the morning.
According to E! News, the global humanitarian organization is asking for social media users to take the time out to post the selfie in order to raise money and bring awareness to the situation in Syria.
The campaign was brought to fruition by U.K. ambassador Jemima Khan to help the children who are caught in the crosshairs of the Syrian conflict. Stars such as Liam Neeson, Naomi Campbell, Paris Hilton and Elle Mcpherson have participated.
