With The Flash currently underway on the CW network, viewers are anxiously awaiting for the upcoming crossover event, entitled 'Flash vs. Arrow.' As the two DC Comics superheroes confront each other, will Grant Gustin (Barry Allen) and Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) be doing "a lot of the fighting" themselves?

In our previous recap, we witnessed the origin story of how Barry (Gustin) ended up with his super-speed powers. Due to a particle accelerator explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs, lightning struck Barry and threw him into a vat of chemicals. Not only did Barry end up with powers, half of the civilian population of Central City became metahumans.

In comic books, it's expected that the heroes will fight each other. Though Barry has super powers, we are watching the scarlet speedster at the beginning. Notice how both times, Barry ended up bleeding and bruised after taking on Multiplex and the Mist. Oliver already has the training and skills to survive in a fight, especially after taking on the superhuman Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke.

In an interview with IGN, both leading men discuss the the action sequence they had to film for the upcoming episode.

Gustin explains the process of the fight sequence, which involves the special effects crew, "I do a lot of the fighting. I don't have to do it full speed and then they ramp it up, and a lot of people have to freeze and I keep moving. Then I have to clear frame and step back into frame. It's really tedious stuff that we have to do."

Because of his super-speed, we're sure the Flash can block and deflect the incoming arrows from the archer.

Amell adds, "I had to punch in slow motion and literally do slow motion faces."

The episode, Flash vs. Arrow, is expected to air on November 25.

The Flash continues on the CW Tuesdays at 8pm. Readers, are you excited to see a confrontation between Green Arrow and The Flash?
