Meanwhile, the Ducks currently hold the highly-coveted No. 1 spot (out of 30 total teams) with an impressive 7-1-0 record. As Morgan points out:

"The Ducks began the season with a loss. Since then, they've won six straight, including a pair of impressive, playoff-type wins over Minnesota and St. Louis. Corey Perry has eight goals in seven games."
