With Parenthood in its sixth and final season, the cast is getting ready to go its separate ways. Parenthood star Lauren Graham has already landed another role in CBS's The Odd Couple reboot as a guest star.

Lauren has bit of real-life experience that will help her play her new role on The Odd Couple. The 47-year-old actress will play Matthew Perry's character Oscar Madison's ex-wife on the series, which is reminiscent of the two actors's real lives. Lauren and Matthew dated off camera in the past and now they'll play exes — which isn't a stretch for either of them, according to E! Online.

They previously costarred in Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Go On, which was Matthew's last TV show from NBC. Lauren also played Matthew's love interest in Go On before the show went off the air. In The Odd Couple, Lauren's character is named Gaby.

"Despite the fact that the union between Oscar and Graham's character, Gaby, was stormy, the couple will nevertheless exhibit warm chemistry as divorcees," TV Line reported.

"Gaby and Oscar lived through a contentious marriage — and divorce — but beneath all the bickering there remains a deep connection and affection between them," The Hollywood Reporter said about the characters's storyline.

The comedy series is based on the Neil Simon hit about two opposite roommates named Oscar and Felix Unger, who move in together after their marriages fail. They have been best friends since college, but their different personalities make for a comical living situation.  Thomas Lennon will play Oscar's onscreen counterpart Felix. Matthew and Thomas have played best friends before in the 2009 film 17 Again.

The Wire star Wendell Pierce, Community actress Yvette Nicole Brown and Playing House star Lindsay Sloane will also star in the comedy series.

The Odd Couple is reportedly a midseason pick-up, but the official airdate has not been announced.
