Tyga vs. Drake Beef Over, Lil Wayne Slams 'Death Threat' Rumors: Rapper Celebrates Birthday Amid YMCMB Drama
It's the YMCMB diss still being heard around the world. In a recent interview with Vibe magazine, rapper Tyga reveals:
Yeah, I'm tryna' go independent. I don't really get along with Drake. I don't really get along with Nicki. I don't like Drake as a person. He's just fake to me. I like his music; you know what I'm saying? I think his music is good, but we're all different people. We were forced together and it was kinda' like we were forcing relationships together. It is what it is. But I been friends with Chris [Brown] for like six years. That's my real genuine friend. We hang out all the time. He lives up the street from me, so we don't just do music we hang. I think being signed to Young Money, everybody felt like they had to force a relationship 'cause Wayne put us together. At the end of the day the reason why I signed to Young Money is because of Wayne. Not because of Drake, not because of Nicki. It was because of Wayne and my relationship with him. I try to be cool with everybody, but sometimes, everybody just has different personalities, motives, and different characters. When you realize that, you realize that's not a place where you want to continue to grow.
An epic hip-hip "beef" immediately exploded (although Drake has yet to comment on anything):
So - how did Lil Wayne eventually get involved?
Lil Wayne Threatened Drake Over YMCMB Contract, Is Tyga Firing Back Over Blac Chyna Instagram Love
An alleged source recently told the infamous gossip webloid MediaTakeOut.com:
"[Here's] the story of how Drake was signed! Basically Drake was about to sign with another label and Lil Wayne was heated!!! He called Drake and threaten to kill him on Blood (Gang) if he even thought about not signing with young money. The next day Drake signed with young money out of fear. Wayne is off the meter and would curse out several other members in young money."
Do MstarsNews readers believe the "death threat" hype. Sounds pretty ridiculous, considering Drizzy and Weezy are such tight bros (and tourmates). Amid such drama, Wayne even gave the "Take Care" crooner a birthday shout-out on Instagram:
But maybe the past "threat" merely inspired and motivated Drake?
But forget the seedy rumors - Tyga's not even worth it. The Canadian native's having too much fun celebrating his 28th birthday and the upcoming release of his new album Views From The 6!
Meanwhile, the "Rack City" emcee now remains mum about the entire thing...
