Nicki Minaj 'The Pinkprint' Release Date: Album Pushed Back To December 15 As Singer Debuts New Track 'Only'
It looks like fans aren't going to be having a pink Thanksgiving, as Nicki Minaj has pushed back the release date of her album The Pinkprint from Nov. 24 to Dec. 15. The "Bang Bang" singer will debut her highly anticipated third studio album featuring hits "Anaconda" and "Pills N Potions" when it hits stores just in time for the winter holidays. According to hotnewhiphop.com, the singer's also gearing up to release her follow-up single to "Anaconda," called "Only" within the next couple hours.
The third single off The Pinkprint will also feature some of her Young Money crew, as Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown are featured on the track.
We aren't sure what to expect from "Only," as we got a pretty heartfelt ballad with "Pills" and then a pretty raunchy hip-hop track with "Anaconda." Whatever it sounds like we are just happy to see Nicki collaborating with Chris, Wayne and Drake again.
Entertainment Weekly's also confirming the album delay and reporting that fellow YMCMB rapper Lil Wayne has put a hold on his new album Tha Carter V again.
Minaj's delay could possible be because another artist is expected to drop her album Nov. 25. As we reported earlier, a press release made its way online saying that Rihanna was planning on releasing her new LP a day after Minaj's Pinkprint.
Minaj is going to have a pretty busy couple weeks in the near future, as she's also set to host the MTV EMAs (European Music Awards) Nov. 9 in Glasgow, Scotland.
