'Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare' Reviews: Analysts Predict Franchise Decline & Developers React To Video Game Leak
According to new predictions from a group of analysts, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare isn't going to do well and could cause a franchise downfall. These projections state that the 2014 title won't do as well as previous releases Ghosts and Black Ops 2. But despite these predictions from analysts, it looks like the game has already leaked before its Nov. 3 release date. As you can imagine, the developers at Sledgehammer Games aren't too happy and have responded to the news.
According to Gamespot, leaked Twitch footage of the new game was apparently from a "stolen" version of the game. Sledgehammer's co-founder, Glen Schofield, responded to this news on Twitter.

Despite this leak, analysts still predict that Advanced Warfare could cause a franchise downfall based on Amazon pre-sale data (via VG247 and Gamma Squad).
"Advanced Warfare is now pacing almost 40 per cent behind last year's Ghosts (vs. 50 per cent last week) and almost 70 per cent behind 2012′s Black Ops 2 (vs. 80 per cent last week)," Games Industry International said. "We continue to believe CoD will be down meaningfully vs. last year. With the franchise facing two consecutive significant year on year declines in sales, we think it is prudent to assume it has peaked."
