CBS has ordered full seasons for four of its new series. The network announced the full season pick-ups for Stalker, Scorpion, Madam Secretary and NCIS: New Orleans Monday, Oct. 27.

"These four shows have had an immediate impact on our schedule by improving nights, winning time periods and adding more hours of success across our primetime line-up," CBS Entertainment Chairwoman Nina Tassler said in a statement.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Scorpion's pickup was no surprise based on its great viewership so far this season.

"It's averaging 15.17 million viewers, and hearty 3.6 rating among adults 18-49. It will be interesting to see how the show fares once CBS's Mondays are no longer jump-started by The Big Bang Theory when the hit comedy moves back to Thursdays this week," Entertainment Weekly reported.

Madam Secretary is Sunday's top scripted broadcast, making its full season order a no-brainer. Téa Leoni stars in the show as the U.S. secretary of state who has to juggle being a mom and international crises. She also has to balance her marriage with all the inter-office politics that surround her.

With the success of the original NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles, it makes sense that NCIS: New Orleans would receive a full season from the network. The spin-off stars Scott Bakula as Dwayne Pride, Lucas Black as Christopher LaSalle and Zoe McLellan as Meredith Brody.

"NCIS: New Orleans is the No. 1 new series of the fall, averaging 18.16 million viewers and a 2.8 rating in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic. It ranks second only to NCIS: Original Recipe among all broadcast dramas," TV Guide reported.

Stalker is a thriller created by The Following's Kevin Williamson. It revolves around two detectives played by Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott as they handle stalking cases for the Los Angeles Police Department. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show's ratings have been steady for CBS.
