Ricki Lake Divorces Husband Christian Evans: Alleged Irreconcilable Differences

Ricki Lake has filed for divorce and cited irreconcilable differences from her second husband, Christian Evans, according to TMZ.

As MStars News previously reported, the former talk show host split from Evans Oct. 9 after reports surfaced that Evans wanted to have an "open marriage."

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Lake has checked the box to pay spousal support. Lake is worth a total of $15 million from starring in her popular 1990s talk show, The Ricki Lake Show, as well as starring in film roles like Hairspray and television shows like Drop Dead Diva.

As the site reports, the actress and jewelry designer have a prenuptial agreement, which states that the couple will be appropriately diving their property.

Lake and Evans began dating in summer 2009, became engaged in August 2011 and married April 8, 2012. Lake, 46, has two sons with former husband Rob Sussman. The couple separated in 2003 and divorced in 2005.

According to reports from Radar Online, Evans suffers from bipolar disorder and has been living in his car as Lake reportedly kicked him out of their home.

"Christian has been diagnosed as bipolar and everyone is really concerned for his health right now," a source revealed.

As People reports, the mom of Milo, 17, and Owen, 13, described Evans when they started dating in 2010.

"[He's] a normal guy," she said. "We met through my best friend. He's a nobody but he's somebody to me. He's everything to me."

Recently, Lake embarked on her second syndicated talk show in fall 2012, which was canceled after one season. Lake also appeared on the 13th season of Dancing with the Stars and partnered with three-time champion Derek Hough.
