The Originals is in its second season and there is a lot of blood, drama and revenge coming this season. With Elijah's (played by Daniel Gillies) kidnapping by his mother, Esther Mikaelson, things now are heating up. The Originals' executive producer is teasing a tortuous upcoming episode, plus another Mikaelson brother is getting his own spin off web series.

Last Monday in "Live and Let Die," Elijah was kidnapped by his own mother, because "she knows best." In Nov. 10th's episode (which airs after Nina Dobrev's crossover episode on Nov. 3), The Originals will show how mother doesn't always know best when Elijah is tortured by Esther for his own good... supposedly.

"She needs to make a case for why being a vampire is the worst thing," executive producer Michael Narducci told TV Line about Esther's unconventional methods for show her son she "loves" him.

"She can save him by putting him into another body and giving him one mortal lifespan to know peace and to have happiness and have a family of his own and live a semi-natural life. Being a vampire is unnatural. He can go into a body of a witch and have a more natural life, according to Esther," he explained to the publication.

Being tortured into believing that being a witch is better than being a vampire sounds pretty dysfunctional, but what else would you expect from the Mikaelson family?

According to TV Fanatic, "Wheel Within the Wheel," will also show Klaus (played by Joseph Morgan) coming to try and save his brother while trying not falling victim to his mother's mind games.

If that isn't enough Mikaelson drama to look forward to, Klaus and Elijah's lesser known brother Kol (played by Nathaniel Buzolic) is getting his on web series, which will be called The Originals: Awakening.

The four-part digital series will launch on Nov. 10 and run through the midseries finale on Dec. 8, E! Online exclusively reported. The web series will air every Monday after The Originals and can be found on cwtv.com.

According to the publication, the series will be about Kol's witch alliance. "We're flashing back to 1914, with Kol on a quest to form an alliance with the witches of the French Quarter. And Awakening will give fans answers to some major burning questions about Kol's past, including how and why he found himself up against his siblings, why he was daggered and the unique backstory he has with the NoLa witches," E! Online revealed.

"Thanks to some body-swapping hijinks, we've got Daniel Sharman playing the character on the show now, but we're always super excited when we can bring Nathaniel Buzolic in for flashbacks," The Originals writer and the Kol-centric series writer Carina MacKenzie told the publication.
