Monday Night Raw Preview 11/3/14: John Cena Builds Survivor Series Team to Fight The Authority

The November 3, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw will emanate live from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo and will continue to build toward Survivor Series in St. Louis on November 23.

Last week, Triple H booked a traditional Survivor Series match for the pay-per-view that will pit Team John Cena against Team Authority. The underlying current for the story here is that Cena would not be able to find anybody to work with him, but he has seemingly already recruited Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler to his side. Who else might Cena be able to enlist to take on the Authority?

If we look at some logical candidates, then we'd needed people who have reason to gripe with Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and the rest. Goldust and Stardust could work, but they are operating as heels. Dean Ambrose is already booked into a match with Bray Wyatt for the pay-per-view, so he's out of contention. And everyone else is either hurt (Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns) or not with the company (CM Punk).

That leaves a small pool of candidates, but there are options. Ryback returned last week to a major ovation, and the crowd love for him is at levels not seen since he first rose to stardom in late 2012. He doesn't have reason to hate the Authority, but it would be wise for WWE to capitalize on his return and put him on the good guys' team.

The Usos are also viable candidates, as they have teamed with Cena in the past and don't really have much to do at the moment other than continue to lose to the Tag Team Champions. That would be a team of Cena, Ziggler, Ryback and The Usos.

Team Authority, meanwhile, would likely feature Seth Rollins and Kane as locks. Randy Orton seems like a candidate primed to betray his own team or act as the surprise member of Team Cena, but reports are saying that he will be off filming The Condemned 2 starting next week and that he will miss the pay-per-view.

The Authority would then need to look elsewhere for team members, so perhaps the newly unleashed Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, who are scheduled to make their returns on Raw tonight, could join the cause. Cesaro could be another option to keep his feud with Ziggler alive. Hopefully we get some more additions to both team's rosters tonight.

As stated earlier, Ambrose and Wyatt are officially in a match at Survivor Series. We still don't know why exactly the enigmatic Bray Wyatt targeted Dean Ambrose during the latter's Hell in a Cell match against Seth Rollins, but we do know Ambrose is out for blood and that he doesn't stop until he gets it. Will we learn tonight why Bray attacked Dean? And which man will get the upper hand?

Rusev called out Sheamus on Friday Night SmackDown last week and said he wants to take the United States Championship off The Celtic Warrior. Sheamus seemingly agreed and confronted the Bulgarian Brute, who high-tailed it out of the ring before any physicality occurred. Could these two throw a few punches tonight?

Brie Bella is still Nikki Bella's personal assistant thanks to her loss at Hell in a Cell, and now Nikki is the No. 1 Contender to AJ Lee's Divas Championship after she won a Battle Royal on SmackDown. What sort of embarrassing situations will Nikki put Brie in tonight? Could this all lead to a scenario in which Brie has to help Nikki win the title? Or perhaps she costs her the title, which leads to another match between the sisters.

As always, check back with MStars immediately after the show for a full recap of all the action. But for now, let us know your predictions for tonight's episode in the comments section.
