Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler is revealing what it's like to date in your 40s. The 43-year-old star has been back on the market after divorcing her husband of 10 years, Will Arnett, in September 2012 and now she's explaining what it's like to date at an older age.

"I find my relationships at 40-plus are really emulsified, juicy relationships, because you have more of a sense of who you are and who you want to be around," Amy told People at her Harvard Book Club appearance in Boston where she was promoting her new book, Yes Please.

"Talented men are not threatened by talented women. They welcome them. And same way with real men. If you're a strong woman and your man likes that, then he's a real man. If you're with someone who asks you to turn your light down, he's a weaker person and you should get away from him," she explained.

Amy is now dating Nick Kroll, comedian and creator of Comedy Central's Kroll Show! The two have been dating since spring 2013 according to Us Weekly. "She was looking for a guy like him," a source exclusively told the publication in May 2013.

Nick has also starred on Amy's current comedy series Parks and Recreation, as the recurring character of "The Douche." In addition to her dating life, the comedian has been focusing on her new book release, Yes Please. The funny book focuses on Amy's life, the entertainment industry and real-life advice.

"Hollywood is the moon. It's a really weird place. As a culture, we're obsessed with youth, and we don't celebrate enough of the amazing gifts and cool things that happen when you get older," the Baby Mama actress told People about the business she is in.

In a recent interview promoting her book with New York's 92Y, Amy and her longtime friend and costar Seth Meyers reminisced about their careers on Saturday Night Live, which is also a topic within the Mean Girls star's book.

"I was on the show for 12 and a half years, and there were maybe 10 times where you thought you fucking nailed it. That you wished no part of it had gone different," Seth told 92Y about Amy's rap on Weekend Update, which is one of his favorite sketches ever. "It's like when baseball players hit the ball and flip the bat because they know it's going out of the park."
