Cara Delevingne Ditches Her Blonde Locks: Supermodel Sports New 'Do At Gucci's 2014 LACMA Art + Film Gala
Cara Delevingne was spotted at the 2014 LACMA Art + Film Gala presented by Gucci in Los Angeles, California. The supermodel ditched her blonde locks and sported a new, light-brown hairdo on the red carpet. Perhaps the new hair color's for her role in the young-adult-novel-turned-film Paper Towns, where she'll play the lead role of Margo.
According to Fashion Gone Rogue, Cara paired her new hair color with a long, draped gown featuring a high slit. Cara's not the only model to go brunette recently: Suki Waterhouse did the same in late September. Check out Cara's new 'do below!
Aside from her upcoming role in Paper Towns, Cara has been keeping busy not only in the fashion world — starring in a huge ad campaign alongside Kate Moss for My Burberry — but in the music industry as well. The model has reportedly been making music with Pharrell Williams in an attempt to launch Delevingne's music career. The 22-year-old model has previously shared that she'd like to pursue singing and acting over modeling.
Pharrell had opened up about Cara's potential during an interview with Capital FM in February 2014:
"I think what people should probably focus in on, versus these specific projects, is on her, her spirit. And what she's up to next. Trust me. Because the films only get better, the parts only get bigger, the music only gets better, the modeling only gets better. But the spirit is becoming refined. She's becoming refined, so it's another chapter in her life."
MStars News recently reported that Pharrell may be up against Kanye West to bag the role as Cara's music mentor. According to Entertainment Wise, an insider shared:
"Kanye would love to be Cara's mentor. He thinks she has a great voice and presence, and could be the next Iggy Azalea or Rita Ora. Kanye's written some songs that would be perfect for Cara. He's been talking to her about working on some music at his favorite recording studio in Paris. Kanye wants to collaborate on a song with Cara to help launch her, and then let her go off and do her own thing."
