Monday Night Raw Results 11/3/14: WWE Raw Recap November 3, 2014: Vince McMahon Returns, Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins, New Survivor Series Stipulation
The November 3, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw emanates live from the First Niagara Arena in Buffalo and begins with Vince McMahon! Triple H and Stephanie McMahon join him.
Vince gets a huge pop from the crowd but The Authority gets nothing but boos. Vince shills the Network and hypes Survivor Series a bit. He references his victories over the U.S. government, Ted Turner and WCW and even that fictitious match with God.
Vince decides to raise the stakes somewhat for the pay-per-view and says if Team Authority loses, then they are out of power.
Dean Ambrose comes out for a match and Vince shakes his hand.
Backstage, Vince says it felt great to be back. He says he knows the Authority was surprised, but he likes surprises, especially when everything is on the line. Triple H says nothing surprises him with Vince. The Authority and Vince clearly have some tension as Vince gets in his car and drives away.
Ambrose faces Cesaro with Bray Wyatt watching from his rocking chair on the stage. Ambrose picks up the win with Dirty Deeds. After the match, Ambrose tries to go after Wyatt, but the lights go out and Wyatt vanishes from the chair.
Backstage, Stephanie and Triple H say they have to be confident and put together the strongest Survivor Series team ever. Triple H tries to call Randy Orton, but Stephanie points out Orton isn't exactly on the same page with them or Seth Rollins. Tripe H says that was all before Vince's announcement, so he's calling The Viper.
The Miz and Damien Mizdow defeat The Usos when The Miz plants Jimmy Uso with the Skull Crushing Finale as Mizdow sacrifices himself as a distraction outside the ring and eats a superkick.
Tyson Kidd defeats Sheamus by count out when Tyson uses Natalya as a shield to then beat the count. Sheamus gives him a Brogue Kick after the match. Lana and Rusev watch the match from a monitor backstage.
Dolph Ziggler comes out and the Authority follows shortly thereafter. Stephanie says she and Triple H are excited about the chance because they are winners. Stephanie says Rollins, Orton and Kane will form part of the strongest Survivor Series team ever.
Triple H tells Dolph he is free to partner with whomever he wants at Survivor Series and that there would be no punishment for doing so. But he tells him to question what happens if he sides with John Cena. Even if they win, then Cena would get the credit rather than Ziggler. But if Team Cena loses, then Ziggler gets the blame. Triple H says he does not think Dolph is a failure, but every time he climbs up the ladder, John Cena is in his way. Stephanie also chimes in that Cena is not here tonight.
Triple H says maybe teaming with Cena gives Ziggler everything he wants, but that's a slim chance. He tries to encourage Dolph to say no and join The Authority's team because then he would get whatever he wants. Ziggler says all he wants is for the entire Authority to be gone and out of power for good. Triple H says that's too bad and that the fans now have nobody to blame but Ziggler for what happens next. Triple H forces Ziggler to defend his Intercontinental Title against Rollins right now.
After a lengthy match, Rollins hits the Curb Stomp, but Orton comes from out of nowhere and RKOs Rollins. He stares down Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury and leaves.
Backstage, Stephanie says The Authority can't win if everyone is not on the same page. Orton storms in and demands a match with Seth Rollins tonight. Stephanie asks why co-captains would fight each other, which incenses Orton. The Viper threatens to join Team Cena. He rants about Rollins some more until Triple H cuts him off. He says he needs Orton on his team, but he also needs Rollins because everything is on the line and they're all in it together. He grants him his match with Seth Rollins to get it out of their systems and then they're all going to war together.
Titus O'Neil comes out and cuts a brief promo until Ryback comes out. He beats Titus with Shell Shocked. The Authority watches backstage to possibly recruit Ryback.
Renee Young interviews Big Show, who says Cena can count on him and he would be honored to join his team. He talks about Mark Henry's betrayal. He says he wants his friend back, but he also wants to just knock him out.
Henry hits Show with the steel steps to cause a disqualification. He then plants Show onto the steps with the World's Strongest Slam. The Authority scouts this match, as well.
Backstage, Stephanie suggests Henry as a member of the team. Triple H questions his focus but tells Kane to go ask him. Stephanie is concerned about Orton and Rollins, but Triple H says guys just need to get this out of their systems sometimes.
AJ Lee joins the commentary team at ringside. Backstage, Renee interviews Brie Bella but Nikki Bella quickly squashes the interview and the two head to the ring. Erick Rowan suddenly appears next to Renee, runs his hand through her hair and calls her pretty. Confused, she says thank you and leaves.
Nikki defeats Emma with the Rack Attack. She has Brie come in the ring and raise her hand, then demands she slap AJ. The champ shoves Brie down and goes after Nikki, who runs up the ramp.
Rusev dispatches Zack Ryder with the Accolade. The Authority scouts this match. Lana says Rusev will deliver the United States Championship to Vladimir Putin tonight. Sheamus comes out and says he is proud to wear the belt. He says Rusev is in for the fight of his life tonight on the WWE Network.
Stephanie walks up to Lana and Rusev backstage and offers Rusev a position on Team Authority. Lana says they will confer with Vladimir Putin and get back to her.
Fernando defeats Stardust with a roll up thanks to a distraction from El Torito. Miz and Mizdow are on commentary and Mizdow gets involved in the distraction.
Orton and Rollins have a tremendous back-and-forth match in which they beat the tar out of each other. Rollins suddenly catches Orton with a backslide and pins him. An angry Orton argues with Triple H and stares down Rollins. He shakes hands with Noble, Mercury, Kane and Rollins but RKOs Mr. Money in the Bank. He sets up for the punt, but Triple H blocks it.
The two have a tense staredown and Orton clocks Triple H. Everyone gangs up on him, but he escapes and beats up the members of the Authority. Rollins Curb Stomps him onto the announce table and busts him open. Triple H debates for a bit and then tells everyone to finish off Orton. Rollins Curb Stomps a bloodied Orton onto the steel steps as the show goes off the air.
