Happy Endings and now Marry Me creator, David Caspe is opening up about his new NBC series and telling everyone why they should be tuning in.

Marry Me premiered on NBC on October 14 and it follows the story of Annie (played by Casey Wilson, David's real-life wife) and Jake (played by Ken Marino) as they go from an awkward engagement to actually getting married. When TV Guide Magazine sat down with the showrunner, he had hilarious answers for their quick-fire survey.

David revealed that if you only have time to watch one show in your current schedule then maybe it shouldn't be Marry Me. "It shouldn't. It should probably be The Wire or Eastbound & Down. Or Million Dollar Listing. But if you've gotten through all those, please give us a try," David told TV Guide.

He joked if you don't tune in however then there will be serious repercussions in his personal life. "We get canceled and I probably get divorced," he told the publication about what would happen next if the show doesn't keep being successful.

The best answers on David's hilarious survey all had to do with guacamole. Yes, guacamole that you eat with chips and salsa. When asked about an alternate title to the romantic comedy the 36-year-old TV writer responded, "Comedians in Apartments Getting Coffee (and Eating Guacamole)."

When asked to fill in the blank of this sentence, "If you like _______, you'll love our show," David quickly said "guacamole."

As for his personal life, David and his wife Casey started their romance in a taboo way. Casey recently wrote a story for Cosmopolitan and admitted that she slept with her boss ... who is now her husband.

Casey opened up about her initial attraction to David saying, "David was cute and funny and above all else, kind." After a drunken night and being shut down by David, Casey admitted she respected him even more. "I'll never forget the romantic night over dinner with coworkers at Benihana when David turned to me and said he was finally ready to give it a try," she wrote.

"At this point we had over a year of friendship under our belts and the mutual respect that comes from working together on our sides. We started dating and a year-and-a-half later, we were engaged."

Tune in to Marry Me to see the show that was inspired by David's engagement and marriage to Casey.
