Rapper Lil Wayne's highly anticipated mixtape "Dedication 4" will be released this upcoming week, and fans can expect many exclusive cameos by hip-hop princess Nicki Minaj. Lil Wayne sat back and relaxed in the studio, giving the "Starships" singer complete control when it came to recording and allowing Minaj's creative and rhythmic power to thrive.

"I usually pick the beat when me and Wayne do something," Minaj told MTV. "I went to Miami and I started grilling him like, 'Hey, why don't you lecture me anyone?' and he says, 'You made it already I ain't got to tell you s***.' We had this crazy little spat - I actually got on footage and I'll show the fans really soon."

Minaj continues with, "But he's working on the mixtape and I said, 'Excuse me, I need to be on that mixtape,' and he said, 'Aight, whatever you wanna do.' So I just went into the other room and recorded on this particular beat that I'm sure my fans are gonna be very happy that I touched. I'm really excited for the kids to hear."

Lil Wayne recently hit the stage with Minaj at her Pepsi Presents Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday Tour in New York City on Tuesday, along with fellow rappers Drake and Foxy Brown.

According to Minaj concerning "Dedication 4," "[Wayne's] just sitting back watching, and seeing the fruits of his labor, and that's what he said."

Lil Wayne's "Dedication 4" was set to be released on Aug. 15, but was pushed back to give the 2 Chainz's "Based on a T.R.U. Story" some debut attention. Because of the delay, the "How to Love" singer gave fans a little sneak peak treat with "No Lie," check it out:
