One Direction's Zayn Malik Says He and Perrie Edwards Are Just 'Kind Of Engaged'

Girls from all over the world would love to date one of the boys from One Direction, but unfortunately one of them is completely off the market. Zayn Malik is engaged to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, but he recently revealed they are "kind of engaged."

Okay, so it's not what you think: Zayn is actually engaged to the young singer, but they have yet to start planning their wedding. The musical duo got engaged in August 2013, but they have been keeping their upcoming nuptials hidden since the big announcement.

"Zayn and Perrie are engaged, but any further detail regarding their relationship is private," a liable rep told People at the time of the engagement.

In an interview with BBC Breakfast, Zayn talked about his big day, saying they haven't even begun the planning. "We haven't really thought about the wedding side of things yet, or how we're going to do it," Zayn told the station. "We're just kind of engaged. We just haven't had time to organize things like that."

The 21-year-old has been busy with One Direction's fourth album titled Four (which will be released on November 17) and his Where We Are touring schedule. Plus, Perrie and her band Little Mix have their own tours and performances to work on especially now that they are working on their third studio album.

During the One Direction interview, band mate Harry Styles jumped in saying, "They're doing it for the presents, how many times do I have to tell everyone!" When asked if one of his band mates would be his best man, Zayn responded, "I think it would be quite hard to pick one."

Louis Tomlinson lightened the mood by adding, "It's a but awkward then, isn't it? As long as we're invited."

Even though Zayn admitted they haven't done much when it comes to planning the actual event, his fiancée has previously talked about some dream wedding ideas. "I do love Disney so [a themed wedding] would be amazing," Perrie told Us Weekly after vacationing with Zayn at Disneyland Paris in March. "I'm a big child. We are both big kids!"
