'Survivor: Blood Vs. Water' Episode 7 Recap [FULL EPISODE]: The Trail Mix Scandal!
In this week's Survivor, the trail mix goes missing, but first we're back at Coyopa's camp, where revelations are flying thick and fast. Missy tells Keith the only reason she and her daughter Baylor wrote his name down at tribal was so they could flush out the immunity idol in case Dale had it. As a result, Keith says in his interview that he doesn't trust them anymore.
Over at Hunahpu, they receive tree mail that says they're going to merge tribes. Josh is not happy they weren't able to get Jeremy out before the merge, but he thinks they'll be able to do so after the merger. Jeremy says that while Reed and Josh ran their tribe, it's time for him to "take them out."
Both tribes come together and as a reward a huge spread of food is provided, one that everyone duly enjoys. Julie reflects that she misses John after seeing everyone with their loved ones together. The survivors bring the food and to their new camp, and now the new game has started.
The tribes decide their new name is "Huyopa" as a combination of their former tribes, and Jeremy takes no time in getting his alliance together, wanting to get Jon, Jaclyn, Missy and Baylor to vote out Josh. For his part, Josh does the same, angling to get enough numbers to dispose of Jeremy.
In the morning, after wishing Wes a happy birthday — his father Keith forgot — Josh solidifies his alliances with Reed and Baylor — meaning her mom is, too. Josh talks to Baylor and doesn't like the vibe he's getting from her. Baylor goes back to her mom and tells her she has to have a conversation with Josh because she doesn't feel comfortable lying to him. Missy tries to talk her out of it. Josh decides Baylor is too much under her mom's influence and that they need Jon and Jaclyn, who don't know which side to align with.
Meanwhile, the trail mix has gone missing and everyone is looking at other people's bags to see where it's gone. Jon discovers it in Julie's bag — while she's laying out on the beach — so it's liberated from her bag and the tribe eats it. They're clearly upset, believing it's selfish Julie kept the food for herself. Julie quickly figures out everyone found out about the trail mix, so she's understandably worried about her fate.
Now onto the individual immunity challenge! The challenge is to balance a ball so it won't fall, and after 25 minutes they add a second ball. In the end, it comes down to Keith and his son Wes, with Keith pulling out the win.
Back at camp, Jeremy's upset he went out first in the challenge, but he believes he has the numbers at tribal regardless. Julie's not feeling right after the whole trail mix debacle, so she talks to Missy about wanting to leave the game, and Missy tries to convince her to wait at least until after the vote. Jeremy talks to Jon and it seems like they're on board to vote Josh out.
But all of a sudden, Jon changes his mind and tells Jaclyn that it's better for their game to go with Josh and the other couples, so they'll vote out Jeremy.
Everyone is sitting at camp and wondering where Julie is. Alec says she must be upset about his crack at her about the trail mix. Missy tells Jeremy no way she would quit on them now. We then see Jeff come to talk to Julie privately. Julie tells Jeff her head is not in the game and she has never been apart from her boyfriend for this long before. She also feels that she is going to be voted out anyway.
So it's official: Julie decides to leave the game. Jeff tells the rest of the tribe that Julie has decided to leave the game, they respond by telling Jeff she was selfish and had it the easiest at camp anyway, since she didn't do anything. With Julie gone, Jeff tells everyone there won't be a tribal council.
Jeremy is upset Julie left because he felt she messed up his plans ... but he would've probably went home anyway, which he doesn't know about.
Next week? It looks like it may turn into guys vs. girls — for alliances, at least.
