Holly Hunter Talks 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' and Confirms Scenes with Superman
Holly Hunter's role in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice remains somewhat of a mystery to this day. Rumors maintain she portrays a senator, but that has yet to be confirmed.
The Wall Street Journal spoke to the actress recently about the movie, which is currently filming in Chicago. She did not reveal much, but she did compliment director Zack Snyder and talked about her experience on set.
"It was really fun to be part of a giant, massive piece of machinery, headed up by Zack Snyder, who is thoroughly at home in that uber mega environment," she said. "Most people would have a nervous breakdown with that kind of pressure, and he's enthralled."
The actress did confirm that she has scenes with Superman in the movie and had some praises for the two titular actors. "I have scenes with Superman. He looks phenomenal," Hunter said. "And to see Ben [Affleck, who plays Batman] and Henry [Cavill, who plays Superman] together is quite formidable. They are massive hunks of masculinity."
In other news, Comic Book Movie reports photographer Gregory Zonsius has sent a photo of Affleck as Bruce Wayne on set to SupermanHomepage.com. According to the report, Affleck was on set in Yorkville, Illinois, the same place where Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner) was buried in Man of Steel.
Of course, this begs the question of why Bruce is there. Is he paying respects to Pa Kent or someone else? The photographer also claimed Henry Cavill was on set, and another eyewitness said Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) were on set.
