While season 4 is currently on a short break on CBS, this is the perfect opportunity to check up on Person of Interest. Let's take a look at Team Machine during these past six episodes starring Jim Caviezel (Reese) and Michael Emerson (Finch) as they picked up new numbers in their new identities.

As we previously mentioned, The Machine was beaten by a much more powerful Artificial Intelligence, known as The Samaritan. To stay far away from Samaritan's growing radar, Finch (Emerson) and his group assumed normal lives to prevent themselves from getting caught. The stakes are even higher now as the Samaritan becomes a bigger threat and a new rival mob boss is taking over the streets.

Here are our five thoughts on Episodes 1-6:

1) Samaritan Is Building An Army

In Nautilus, Finch gave Claire Mahoney (Quinn Shepard) a way out of the deadly game, but she refused to accept his advice. Claire then became the first to join Samaritan's army. The Machine has Shaw (Sarah Shahi) and Root (Amy Acker) but now Samaritan has a new recruit.

2) Finch Is Tougher Than He Looks

In Wingman, Finch and Root have to buy guns, including a rocket launcher, from a weapons dealer, who is unimpressed. Finch states, "I only have two sides. You'd rather see me when I'm calm. You don't want to see the other." Was Finch imitating Reese, or is he a super tough guy in his own right?

3) Buddy Cops

Even though Reese has a badge and gun, that doesn't mean he can shoot the bad guys whenever he feels like it. Introduced in Prophets, I hope we get to see Reese's therapist again, Dr. Iris Campbell (Wrenn Schmidt) again.

4) Elias Has A Nemesis

Brotherhood was a throwback to when first season when Reese first met Elias (Enrico Colantoni), a teacher disguised as a mob boss. Shaw didn't know she was actually holding Dominic (Winston Duke) right in front of her. In Pretenders, Dominic announced his turf war against Elias.

5) Best Action Sequence Ever

In Prophets, we sawRoot use her two guns against a blonde-haired assassin. As if they never run out of bullets, Root is upstairs, shooting downwards, while the assassin downstairs is shooting upwards.

Person of Interest continues Tuesdays, on CBS at 10pm. Readers, are you excited to see the Machine take on Samaritan?
