Tony Scott Wife Donna Scott and Children Mourn Over His Death

Tony Scott's wife Donna Scott and their two children are currently shocked by the sudden suicide death of their beloved husband and father.  Scott leaped off the Vincent Thomas bridge in San Pedro on Sunday 12:30 p.m. and his body was recovered around 4:30 p.m. the same day.

Scott left a suicide note found in his car that was parked nearby, and the contents have yet to be released.  The British director's films have made a great impact in Hollywood, including his classic hit "Top Gun" starring Tom Cruise.  

Scott is survived by his current and third wife and their two young sons.  He was previously married to Gerry Scott from 1967 to 1974, and Glynis Sanders from 1986 to 1987.  He married Donna in 1994.  The two met on the set of his movie "Days of Thunder".

Tom Cruise said in a statement, "Tony was my dear friend and I will really miss him.  He was a creative visionary whose mark on film is immeasurable. My deepest sorrow and thoughts are with his family at this time."

Ron Howard tweeted, "No more Tony Scott movies. Tragic day."
