It was earlier reported that NBC's Today Show snagged the first-ever interview with former Ravens player Ray Rice following the release of the terribly shocking video of him punching his wife Janay Rice in an Atlantic City elevator, knocking her completely unconscious. Well, now Rice has updated us all, saying he's made no commitment whatsoever to sit down with Matt Lauer.

Originally reported by TMZ, it was believed that NBC locked down an interview with the former football player; however, the site now has an update. According to a source closer with Rice – one that reportedly contacted TMZ – Rice has "made no commitment to sit down with Today." They further commented he, "will not do anything until after the arbitration decision on his suspension is made."

While reports state that Today apparently wanted only Janay and not Ray, TMZ claims that NBC has disputed that, saying that the former player is indeed the one they wanted.

So, will Rice sit down with Today's Matt Lauer? According to the source, they'll consider it, "but only after the arbitration."

Following the swing seen around the world, it seems safe to say the world has turned completely against the NFL's Ray Rice. Well, now the football player has agreed to break his silence and sit down with Matt Lauer of NBC's Today Show for a one-on-one interview - the first since the release of the horrifying video featuring Rice knocking his wife, Janay Rice, out in an elevator in Atlantic City.

The news comes from TMZ Sports. According to them, the once-upon-a-time respected player has been booked for an "exclusive sit-down" with the famed NBC journalist. Whether or not Rice's wife will be present in the interview is not known at this time. If she is, you can bet Lauer will have some questions for her!

While there's no solidified date, the gossip site claims that the interview will take place sometime between today and Nov. 26.
