'The Flash' Recap: Grant Gustin's Barry Allen Meets DC Comics' General Wade Eiling In "Plastique!"

More super villains from the DC Comics Universe shows up on CW's The Flash. As the scarlet speedster, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) has a lot to juggle as he faces off against General Wade Eiling (Clancy Brown), Plastique (Kelly Fyre), and a major nemesis at the end of 'Plastique.'

Barry and the crew are drinking at the bar when a building nearby explodes. The Flash has to run up the side of the building in order to save the falling maintenance worker. When they both hit the ground safely, Iris spots the Flash before he runs away.

Through investigative work, Barry finds out the bomber's identity before General Wade Eiling shows up. The Flash meets Plastique, who all of a sudden puts her hand on his chest. Barry gets out of his costume before it explodes.

Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is mad his costume has been ruined but is in love with Plastique. The second time they met, the Flash rescues Plastique, just as she is shot by the General's team. With the tracker inside Plastique, Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) slows down the General as they reminisce about their old days. 

After Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco study Plastique's powers, Barry is yelled at by Joe, who tells him iris has signed her name to her blog. The Flash shows up to talk to Iris (Candice Patton), telling her to stop writing about him. Iris is writing the blog for Barry, who lost his mother and lost faith in the impossible.

Caitlin learns Plastique's DNA has emerged with the shrapnel, which prevents her from living a normal life. Dr. Wells jokes around with Plastique before telling her about how dangerous General Wade Eiling is. Because he will hunt her and the rest of her own kind, the metahumans, Plastique has to stop the General before  finally returning home.

Following Dr. Wells' orders, Plastique tries to fight off General Wade Eiling and his team, setting off a round of explosives. The Flash arrives just in time to stop her from killing the General. Instead, the General pulls out his gun and shoots Plastique.

With Plastique lying dead, her body is about to explode. The Flash has to hit 500 mph to run across water, drop off her body, and let it explode. The Flash keeps running to get far away from the shockwave from the huge blast. 

Barry visits Iris telling her to shut down her blog. When she refuses, Barry says they shouldn't see each other any time soon. Barry knows Iris will end up in danger if she continues to pursue the red streak.

Cisco and Cailtin visit Barry at the bar to help him get buzzed. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) visits Iris but she doesn't want to talk to him because she has tears in her eyes. General Wade Eiling also visits Dr. Wells one last time, as they threate each other about their previous crimes.

In the flashback, General Wade Eiling and Dr. Wells were working on a project together that mistreated and experimented on animals. Inside the cage, the animal test subject is named Gorilla Grodd. Dr. Wells promises to take care of Grodd because he has future plans for him.

Gorilla Grodd might be the next super villain in The Flash. Readers, what do you think of Plastique?
