Jennifer Lawrence Says The Life-Size Cake Version Of ‘Hunger Games’ Katniss Made Her 'Dreams As An Actress Come True'
Winning an Oscar, being one of the top actresses of her generation and knowing Bradley Cooper are all dreams come true, but for Jennifer Lawrence having a life-size cake of herself is also a dream come true. The 24-year-old reacted in a very positive way to an amazing cake creator's Katniss cake and it is awesome. Jennifer is preparing for the release of Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, but she isn't the only one getting excited for the new film. A British baker named Lara Clarke is celebrating the upcoming film with a life-size cake of Katniss Everdeen.
Last week the 28-year-old baker won the Cake International contest in Birmingham, England for her almost six-foot tall sponge cake that looked like Jennifer's onscreen character, according to People.
While promoting the film in England on the BBC Radio 1 show hosted by Nick Grimshaw, Jennifer was asked about the super unique cake creation and her reply was exactly what you would expect from the star ... awesome. With her Hunger Games costars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth by her side she explained how flattering it was to be made into a cake.
"Oh my god, yeah, I saw it. I saw it. It's 5'11." Jennifer told Nick Grimshaw during the radio interview. "But seriously if the girl who made that is listening: You're incredibly talented." She added that it made her "dreams as an actress come true."
After learning that the cake creator had previously done a Jack Sparrow cake Jennifer replied, "Really? Okay now I don't feel as special." She added jokingly, "Screw you, girl who made the cake, I'm not 5'11 — and my waist is smaller!"
Laura, who owns her own bakery, called Tasty Cakes, created the enormous cake. According to BBC, the cake used 150 eggs, 22 lbs. of flour, sugar and butter, plus 4.4 lbs. of yogurt. The Katniss creation took almost two and a half months to create.
