'Gangnam Style' Knocks Justin Bieber and Katy Perry Down On the U.S. Chart, Surprise Performance at Dodgers Game [VIDEO]

Gangnam Style by Psy has officially taken over the US iTunes chart at No.1 beating Justin Bieber's "As Long As You Love Me" and Katy Perry's "Wide Awake". The rapper's wacky yet sensational music video took the web by a storm and he even scored a meeting with Bieber's manager Scooter Braun. This is the first time any Korean artist has hit No. 1 on iTunes.

The music video has already reached 43 million plus views in a little over one month. The South Korean rapper admitted that he did not even expect such a positive response to the song. He explained that he was simply trying to make a fun summer song for his people to enjoy.

His original tour plans reportedly changed due to the overwhelming response worldwide. Kpopstarz reported that Psy postponed his Japan tour to reconsider a new promotional strategy with his management YG.

Psy flew into Los Angeles from Korea last week. He also gave a surprise performance on the bleachers at the Los Angeles Dodgers games against the San Francisco Giants last night (August 20). During the break, "Gangnam Style" was blasted from the speakers and the "Dance Cam" caught many Americans in the crowd showing off their "horse dance" moves. To everyone's surprise, the "Dance Cam" later zoomed up close to Psy, and he showed everyone how to do the horse dance moves the proper way on screen.

Scooter Braun and his team were also present at the Dodger's game.
