Skylar Grey is an aspiring songstress infamously known as rapper Eminem's young protege. The 28-year-old Don't Look Down singer actually appears on Nicki Minaj's new hit single, "Bed Of Lies" -

So... how did that all come about? In a recent interview with Billboard, Grey reveals:

"[Minaj] kind of poured her heart out on the verses. I personally think as a fan it's a nice contrast to her other singles on the record. You get to see another side of her."

She continued, "When I heard that she was taking the song I was surprised because it's not a typical kind of song for her. I was very excited when I heard what she did with it. She seemed to take it to a very personal place. And I love that, I love doing that with my songs and my collaborations, bringing out something that's a little more emotional and personal with the artist."

The "Love The Way You Lie" songwriter had even more praises for The PinkPrint superstar - check out the full interview here.

Grey's had the opportunity to work with some awesome musicians in the past - Diddy, Fort Minor, Dr. Dre, Cee Lo Green, TI, Lupe Fiasco, and several others. Which big-name emcee would she like to collaborate with next?

YMCMB mogul, Lil Wayne!

"It'd be kind of interesting to try something with [Lil'] Wayne," Grey explains. "I don't know if he would ever go there, but it'd be interesting to see what would happen if he did something that was personal cause I haven't really heard him do that."

Wonder if the "Rap God" would approve... or even Minaj?

Grey will appear on the highly-anticipated upcoming record, Shady XV. Her vocals will be featured on the track entitled "Twisted" with Em and Yelawolf. The album officially hits stores on November 24, 2014.
