MTV star Diem Brown has died at the age of 32 after battling cancer for years. Fans across the country fell in love with the reality star on the Real World/Road Rules Challenge and followed her every step of the way as she fought the awful sickness.

In one of her last interviews with People, Diem told the mag the cancer in her stomach and colon had metastasized to her liver and lymph nodes.

"That was a shocker to me," she said. "I was blown away. It really crushed a little bit of my spirit."

As MStars News reported, many of her family and Real World/Road Rules visited her at the hospital including co-star and ex-boyfriend Chris "CT" Tamburello, who sent out an Instagram photo in support of her charity MedGift.

"Sometimes just being there for someone can be the difference between a good and bad day," the reality star captioned the image. "@diembrown could definitely use a few.... Please go to her support page www.medgift.com/diemsnextchallenge #medgift."

Even until the last day, the MTV star was full of hope, speaking of the many things she still wanted to accomplish in life.

"It's my personal perspective that you live as hard and as vigorously as you can," she told People. "My goals are something I believe in, because I believe I'm going to make it."

"I'm going to have a family and get married and the whole American, 2½ kids, white-picket fence dream," she continued. "It's something that's really important to me, because it means a long-term future."

Her outlook on life has been an inspiration to not only her friends and family, but fans around the world.

"Cancer has changed who I am," she said. "It sounds like a cliché, but I've only got this one life, and I need to live every day to the fullest. I'm a lot more appreciative of things now."

One thing she wanted everyone to know is not to take life for granted, make every decision you make count.

"No matter what it is, you're going to have the bad days, but if you have hope throughout, you won, no matter what the results," she told People in October. "Life is so beautiful."

Our hearts go out to Diem's family and friends.
