Revenge Season 4 Spoilers: 'Sons of Anarchy' Actor Tommy Flanagan Joins Cast
A new threat is coming to the Hamptons on ABC's Revenge, as Sons of Anarchy actor Tommy Flanagan has joined the cast in a major recurring role in Season 4.
TVLine first exclusively reported that the actor, whose seven-year run on the FX series ends next month with the series finale, had joined the Sunday night series in a villainous role. Flanagan will play "the powerful and dangerous Malcolm Black, a high-functioning psychopath with a long memory for those who have crossed him. Self-made, cold and calculating, he is relentless when it comes to protecting both his family and his fortune."
The actor will debut in Episode 11, the midseason premiere in early 2015. The episode does not have a specific airdate yet.
In related news, actor James Tupper, who portrays David on the show, spoke to TVLine, which asked when we would start to get some real answers as to what happened to David during his 20 years away.
"Oh, you're going to find out soon. It's like peeling back the layers of an onion; every episode moving forward will reveal more of what happened. This Sunday, the FBI begins to investigate more of David's history. You'll find out more about the surveillance photos from last week and what he's been up to. David and Emily finally also acknowledge each other as father and daughter for the first time. He finally gets to tell her how he feels about her past actions, how she's taken revenge. I think it'll be shocking for the fans.
Based on the previews, that conversation seems pretty tense. Is there any hope for the happy reunion fans have wanted for so long?
Well, remember, they are blood. They're father and daughter. He raised her, and he knows her. The choices she's made in his life he doesn't know, but he knows her."
