'Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ Stars Jennifer Lawrence And Liam Hemsworth Talk About Their Onscreen Kisses And Gush About Their Friendship
Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth are great friends off screen, but on set they are romantically linked as Katniss Everdeen and Gale Hawthorne. Both stars opened up about what it is like to kiss one another in the Hunger Games films and their ideas of a good kiss are definitely different. Plus, the costars gush about how great each other are while promoting their newest film, Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.
According to Jennifer, she is a pretty considerate person when it comes to kissing Liam. She admitted to eating before their big smooch, but she explained during the New York press conference, via People that "I gave him fair warning."
Liam on the other hand remembers their onscreen kisses very differently. In a recent interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 24-year-old actor came clean about the less than ideal kisses he has had with his costar.
"Any time I had to kiss Jennifer was pretty uncomfortable. When you look at it on the outside it looks like a great picture," Liam explained to Jimmy Fallon. "She's one of my best friends. I love her. But if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish or something that was disgusting."
Despite their kissing differences, the two had nothing but nice things to say about one another during their Mockingjay press conference in Manhattan. "Liam is the most wonderful, lovable, just family-oriented sweet, hilarious [guy]," Jennifer admitted in the press conference via People.
"I guess the biggest surprise is that I would never expect to ever have a man this good-looking ever be my best friend. I never knew that those things could happen." The Australian-native quickly added his praise for Jennifer saying, "she has never changed. [She's] a great actress because she adapts to situations."
Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 hits theaters on Nov. 21.
