David Spade ‘Joe Dirt’ Instagram Selfie: Comedian Teases New Sequel With Wig-Wearing [PHOTO] & Adam Sandler Happy Madison Productions
As MStars News has previously reported, comedian David Spade is gearing up for his part in Joe Dirt 2... the sequel to the 2001 underground hit Joe Dirt. And following word that friend Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions will be backing the project, it appears things are kicking off quickly! Spade recently posted a selfie to his Instagram page of him wearing Dirt's infamous mullet wig on the first day of shooting – today, Nov. 17.
Spade posted the photo to his page earlier alongside the caption: "Day 1. Lets get this shit started! #imjoedirt #whatscrappenin."
The photo shows the former Grown Ups star wearing the oh, so beloved Joe Dirt wig accompanied with his signature facial hair. Check out the picture below:
If you remember the end of Joe Dirt correctly, the janitor-turned-famous-name's wig is replaced by some kickin' dreadlocks. However, from the picture it looks like that has changed a bit.
As noted, Joe Dirt 2 – which seems to be holding the title Joe Dirt II: Beautiful Loser – has been promoted not only by MStars News, but also the likes of Spade and his Grown Ups and former SNL co-star Adam Sandler, who posted a photo of the script and wig to his Facebook page.
Before the wig-wearing Instagram shot, Spade posted the below photograph, joking, "Here is me laying in bed thinking about the first day of shooting tomorrow. And snausages. #scared."
As filming began today, the final product will be ready for theaters sometime in 2015. For more news on Joe Dirt II: Beautiful Loser, stay tuned with MStars News!
