Houston Rockets Star, Dwight Howard Under Criminal Investigation For Child Abuse In GA On His Son Shared With 'Basketball Wives' Star Royce Reed

MStars News has learned that Houston Rockets star, Dwight Howard is under criminal investigation for child abuse, following allegations, Basketball Wives star Royce Reed made about their 7-year-old son, Braylon Howard.

According to TMZ, Howard is now being investigated by Cobb County PD in Gerorgia after Reed reported that their son was beat with a belt buckle.

MStars News previously reported that the Dept. of Children and Families in Florida (DCF) cleared Howard after determining that their wasn't enough proof that Braylon was beat with a belt. Howard's investigation comes from Georgia, after police learned the incident happened in that state.

The Houston Rockets center doesn't deny disciplining his son with a belt but claims nothing was wrong, because he was disciplined that way.

Law enforcement says the police in GA requested files from Florida, but it seems that the process was slow. The case was shut, and cold until Cobb County detectives saw the TMZ Sports report on Monday.

After reviewing the story and taking note of the doctor's findings, the case is now back open.

A Georgia law enforcement source claims, "People who were not so forthcoming before today [Monday] have been." The source adds detectives did several one-on-one interviews Monday and say the case "has now been raised to top of the list."

Howard's attorney believes Royce Reed, the child's mother is "shopping her baseless allegations" to Georgia authorities after the Dept. of Children and Families in Florida found her allegations to be of value.

The DCF in Florida allegedly found the allegations credible, but believed the proof shouldn't have any actions taken.

Howard's attorney hopes Georgia will agree with Florida's conclusion and explains, "The truth is on our side."

Meanwhile Royce has been keeping fans updated with the abuse issues, and she celebrated her son's birthday Tuesday.

She uploaded a photo, and revealed that she was in labor for 50 hours!! She captioned the photo below:

"Happy Birthday to My Heart, My Soul, My World, My Everything! On this day my life changed after over 50hrs of labor! Priorities became him, my smile became his. Mommy never did & never will sit on her butt & wait for a check! Still successful & still growing! I love you Braylon! Happy 7th Birthday!!!"

She also uploaded some video's of herself having fun with Braylon.
