5 Reasons Chris Pratt's 'Cowboy Ninja Viking' Will Be Awesome Image Comics Movie! [WATCH]
The Lego Movie comedian confirms he will starring in another comic book movie. After becoming the breakout star as Star-Lord in the summer blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy (from Marvel Comics), actor Chris Pratt will play a deadly special agent with multiple personalities in Cowboy Ninja Viking (from Image Comics).
As we previously mentioned, Cowboy Ninja Viking revolves around a counter-intelligence unit of Multiple Personality Disorder patients. Formed by psychotherapist Dr. Sebastian Ghislain, the agents are transformed into "Triplets," a reference to the three different personalities inside their minds.
After the unit falls apart, various members have turned into hired killers for hire. Duncan channels the skills of a Cowboy, Ninja, and Viking, in order to find and stop the rogue Triplets. Though Pratt has signed on to play Duncan, we await to hear further casting announcements.
Here are five reasons why we are going to love Chris Pratt as Duncan:
1) He's Going To Play A Cowboy!
We loved the Parks & Recreation actor in James Gunn's sci-fi flick. If he can play an anti-hero, then the Jurassic World actor can be just as appealing as a John Wayne gun-fighter. We are very anxious to see what he'll do in a western shootout.
2) He's Going To Play A Ninja!
This action sequences just spells awesomeness. Imagine if the Delivery Man gets his hands on two swords! He's going to be chopping heads off left and right.
3) He's Going To Be A Viking!
I really hope readers get the joke by now. But seriously, we are going to be seeing the versatility of the Movie 43 actor with three roles combined into one.
4) Riley Rossmo
We here at MStars News have loved Rossmo's artwork ever since he drew an a variant cover for Clive Barker's Nightbreed series (BOOM! Studios). We cannot wait to get our hands on his cover for Escape from New York (also from BOOM! Studios). Another comic that readers should check out is Green Wake, also from Image Comics.
5) Who is The Mystery Director?
With a major star attached, we're looking forward to seeing who's going to direct this comic book adaption.
Cowboy Ninja Viking is on its way to the big screen. Readers, are you excited to see Chris Pratt as Duncan?
