After Weeks of Dating, John Mayer ‘Dumped’ Katy Perry

Before their relationship has taken flight, the vicious John Mayer has reportedly "dumped" Katy Perry after weeks of dating.

With his reputation of being a ladies man, John told the "Part of Me" singer that he has changed. But even before things got official, John is said to have ended things with Perry and they didn't even remain friends.

A source told Radar Online that even with hesitation, Katy eventually gave in to John's charms, but soon enough, the music man has grown tired of the pop singer.

"John did a real number on Katy. She held off from his advances for the longest time, but he laid on the charm thick and promised her he was a changed man. She eventually gave in, fell head over heels for him and then - yep - once he had made his conquest, he dumped her," a source said on RadarOnline.com.

The website also added that the two were spotted at a friend's party last Tuesday but ignored each other.

"It was so weird! Katy stayed in one room the whole night and John stayed in the other and when they passed each other they both just kept their head's down. It was like they had this incredible animosity for each other and everyone else at the party could feel it," an onlooker said.

Just before the news broke out, the two were spotted flirting with each other at a friend's pool party a few days ago in Hollywood Hills. Katy was in a sexy two piece while John attempted to put his arms around the lovely singer.

Friends close to Perry have been worried about her interactions with Mayer. But amidst the bad reputation of being a ladies man and his outburst on interviews about his past relationships, it didn't take too long before he eventually won over Katy.
