Solange Knowles Mother, Tina Knowles, Says Her Favorite Part of the New Orleans White Wedding Was the Vows, Reveals If Beyoncé Will Have Another Child [WATCH]
Solange Knowles is now Mrs. Alan Ferguson. MStars News has been covering all the wedding details leading up to Beyoncé's little sister tying the knot with her longtime music video director beau Alan Ferguson in New Orleans on Nov. 16.
Tina Knowles recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell and Kevin Frazier where she gave intimate details on her daughter's big day, and explained the hives breakout situation.
"There wasn't a dry eye on the place," Mama Knowles said. "They were just so heartfelt and I just think the wedding epitomized Solange as a person, and her and Alan's artistic flair."
Solange's all-white affair took place where she is currently living, and was a three day weekend event.
MStars News previously reported that Knowles made headlines after she broke out in hives during her wedding day, and mama Knowles explains the chaos.
"[Solange] went through the wedding and the sit-down dinner and she was just fine, and then they had a second line in the streets of New Orleans and she was dancing so hard, I think she just go overheated," Tina describes. "And the seafood, I think she had a reaction to it."
She adds that big sis, Bey, "took her back to the hotel and gave her Benadryl and cortisone creams. She took a shower and in two hours, she showed up at the reception and did the dance with her son and just had a ball."
Tina, who is now estranged from her girls' father, Mathew Knowles, who was MIA at his daughter's wedding said that Solange opted out of the "father, daughter dance" for a "mother, son dance." Solange and her 10-year-old son Julez showed off their moves to "No Flex Zone." Tina also revealed where her other grandchild, Blue Ivy was when all this action was taking place.
"She didn’t get to come to the after party," Tina recalls. "[Julez] only got to come and do the dance and then he had to leave. Had to go to bed. It was a grown folks party."
The proud grandma reveals that Kelly Rowland's son is her pride and joy as well.
"I got two boys and a girl. Couldn't ask for better than that," Knowles says. And when it comes to Blue Ivy having a little sister or brother, Tina says, "I'm always ready for more grandbabies."
Mama Knowles is currently staying busy promoting her new collection for Caché. "I've shopped at Caché for many years, so I picked up 24 of my favorite things," Tina reveals. "It becomes a challenge sometimes finding really beautiful things for a good price point … I think that they are the epitome of getting it right with everybody."
"I'm mostly looking for things that will be flattering to every woman," Knowles reveals when choosing wardrobes for the new collection. "Picking things that I know will work on many body types and many age groups."
Tina will also be called "author" very soon as she reveals that she is currently working on writing a new book.
"Everything in my life happened for a reason," Tina says. "Even when I thought they were the worst things in the world, they turned out to be the best things in the world. If you're going through something, just know that you're gonna come out on the other side. You're going through it — you're not stuck there forever. That's what the book is about."
