After a successful run with their superhero TV shows, another title from the DC Comics Universe is heading its way towards the television screen. Blockbuster producer Jerry Bruckheimer will adapt Warren Ellis' comic book, Global Frequency, as a live-action television series on Fox.

Created by former Moon Knight scribe, and drawn by a series of different artists, including Simon Bisley (Lobo) and Lee Bermejo (Luthor), the Global Frequency is an independent, covert intelligence organization headed by a former intelligence agent, Miranda Zero. At their central dispatch system, Aleph, communicates with the team through their mobile smart phones. Each issue is a standalone installment featuring the organization in the midst of an attack from a paranormal phenomena, terrorist group, and religious cults.

According to Deadline, the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation producer is attached to the pilot production commitment. The pilot will be penned by Farscape scribe and Defiance creator Rockne S. O'Bannon. Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed join Ellis and O'Bannon as executive producers on the series.

This isn't the first time someone has attempted to adapt Global Frequency. According to Io9, a pilot for the comic had already been made in 2005 pilot. Produced by Lucha Underground producer Mark Burnett and starred Michelle Forbes (Powers) as Miranda Zero. For whatever reason, the previous adaptation never made it past the pilot stage.

Perhaps because of its serialized format, DC Comics is making a big splash in the television medium. Not only is the Batman prequel, Gotham, in the midst of its current  first season, The Flash is already a big hit on the CW, and Constantine has landed on NBC. You can tell we at MStars News are huge fans of each series as we continue to write about them.

Fox has another comic book title in the works. Readers, would you like to watch Global Frequency?
