'Mr. Robinson' Adds Spencer Grammer To Its Cast Plus, FX And FXX Release Their Winter Premiere Dates
Greek alum Spencer Grammer has been added to the cast of NBC's new series Mr. Robinson. Plus, FX and FXX have officially announced their winter premiere dates including when the 10th season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is starting.
TV Line reported that Spencer would be joining the cast of the new comedy Mr. Robinson as a series regular on Sunday. Spencer will play Ashleigh Willows, who is a math teacher at Studs Terkel, but she also moonlights as a dancer to pay for her lifestyle and travel the world.
The 31-year-old actress is the latest star to be cast in the new series that follows a musician's journey as he becomes a music teacher at a middle school and has to learn how to adapt to his new environment. So far the rest of the cast includes Ben Kodyke, Jean Smart and Amandla Stenberg.
A to Z star Lenora Crichlow will also be joining the cast according to the publication. "Crichlow co-stars as Victoria Wavers, a a former Wall Street trader who did very well for herself. She left the Street to pursue her true calling as a high school English teacher at Studs. She used to go to high school with Craig, who had an unrequited schoolboy crush on her," the publication revealed.
In other TV news, FX and FXX have both announced their winter premiere dates. The FX hit Archer will return for its sixth season on Jan. 8 and Justified's sixth and final season will premiere on Jan. 20. According to TV Guide, The Americans will also return in January on the 28th.
The fourth season of American Horror Story, will return from its midseason hiatus on Jan. 7. The Freak Show edition of American Horror Story will have its season finale later that month on Jan. 21.
As for FXX, the network announced that It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia would begin its 10th season on Jan. 14. The new series, Man Seeking Woman will premiere on the same date following It's Always Sunny.
