'Glee' Star Mark Salling Reveals The Show's Final Season Is Tough Without Corey Monteith
The sixth and final season of Glee begins in January and many of your favorite stars will be returning for the final season. One of whom is Mark Salling, who plays Noah "Puck" Puckerman. Mark recently revealed that although he is happy to be back as a full-time cast member, there is a serious hole in the final season without Corey Monteith.
When Corey (Finn Hudson) died in July 2013, the Glee cast was in total shock. Even now, the cast knows it's going to be hard to say goodbye to the series without him by their side.
"Cory Monteith was a great leader as a character and person in real life. It's a big, obvious hole. I still think about him all the time," Mark told People. "He was kind of like the quarterback of the show, which sounds cliché because the [tribute] episode was called that, but he was kind of like that in real life."
"I've been through so much with some of these cast members. Traveling the world, international tours ... it's really like family," the 32-year-old explained.
Even though the cast is getting ready to say goodbye to the musical series, Mark revealed it doesn't mean it will be easy to see it come to an end.
"I don't think there will be any closure. Not yet," he explained to the publication.
Despite the sadness that comes with the end of Glee, there are a few things to look forward to this season. In addition to Mark's return, Naya Rivera (Santana Lopez) will be coming back to the Glee Club and reuniting with her onscreen love Brittany S. Pierce (Heather Morris).
Now that Naya is back on set, she has already teased a Santana and Brittany wedding! Plus, one other couple will tie the knot this season according to TV Line.
