'The View' Joy Behar Slams Elisabeth Hasselbeck! Find Out What The Broadway Star Says About Her Former ABC Co-Host
The View has been creating a lot of headlines lately with the fights between co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnell, Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez, but now former panelist Joy Behar is taking aim at previous colleague Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
"I like that little Republican over there. Nicolle," Joy told Wendy Williams. "You know, I have dealt with Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Ann Coulter. This girl is like a day at the beach!"
Ouch ...
When asked if she would return to the talk show, she seemed on the fence but more receptive if it meant less work.
"I don't know," she said. "I have sort of been there, done that. I don't know. I wouldn't go back for five days a week. I used to be on only three days a week and Barbara [Walters] was on two days. That was a great system. Loved it."
The former HLN host is out promoting her new Broadway one-woman show called Me, My Mouth & I. Joy even joked about her time at the ABC daytime staple, which she was on for 16 years.
"I worked in a mental hospital, which I always say prepared me for The View," she joked.
As MStars News reported, there has been a lot of unrest on camera and behind the scenes at the chatfest, which has led to a bitter feud between Whoopi and Rosie O.
"There's terrible frustration and there are problems," a source told the (New York) Daily News. "Whoopi didn't want to talk about [Bill] Cosby and [the] Ferguson [shooting], Rosie [O'Donnell] did — how could you not? These are topics that are uncomfortable for everyone, but it's The View and it's their job to talk about topics that might make some people tense."
"Rosie [O'Donnell] was yelling at everyone. First, she had a fight with Whoopi and then she had a fight with the producers," the source said about their pre-show "Hot Topics" meeting.
