Thanksgiving 'Real Housewives Of New Jersey' Teresa Giudice Not Spending Holiday With 'RHONJ' Co-Stars, Brother And Sister-In-Law Joe And Melissa Gorga!
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice will be spending her last Thanksgiving with her family before she goes off to prison on January 5. However, the reality star won't be spending it with her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Melissa Gorga.
"[Teresa] is going about life with as much normalcy as possible," a source told People. "They will be with [her husband] Joe's family."
While the holiday time is usually a happy one for the RHONJ star, she will have too much to think about to enjoy the festivities.
"The truth is, this is a very difficult time for her. This Thanksgiving, she's doing a lot of reflecting," a source told E! News. "She doesn't feel sorry for herself and doesn't want anyone feeling sorry for her, but she has a lot of sadness. She's sad over her family who she has let down, the friends she has let down and the fans she has let down."
The former Celebrity Apprentice contestant will use her time to try and help others learn from her mistakes.
"She's taking responsibility for her actions. She's also been using her free time to educate herself on financial matters so nothing like this EVER happens to her again," according to E!. "If anything, she wants to teach other women the importance of understanding your finances so this doesn't happen to them."
"She's strong and she is handling this," the source continued. "But she's sad."
As MStars News reported, Teresa will be spending 15 months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of bankruptcy and mortgage fraud. Her husband Joe will be behind bars for 59 months for two separate crimes.
She was ordered to serve her time at the Danbury Correctional Facility in Connecticut, which is the prison that inspired the Netflix hit comedy series, Orange Is the New Black.
