Calvin Johnson: Even in a massive down year, Johnson is "still the best receiver in the league" according to Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew, as per a report from NFL.com's Dan Hanzus. Johnson, for his part, still believes he's the "same guy" who set the record for single-season receiving yards in 2012.

Matthew Stafford: The QB has had a tough year, but says "nobody's happier than us that our game's on Thursday. Any time you lose a game it's disappointing," he told reporters ahead of the Thanksgiving day game. "You've got to find a way to go out there and pick yourself and play.

"I'm not too worried about my stats," he added. "I'm trying to get this offense in the end zone as much as possible, so whatever it takes to get that done, I'm going to do it."

As for how Stafford feels? He's "really comfortable, really good."

Alshon Jeffrey: 

According to CBSSports.com "is not on the injury report this week after several weeks of dealing with a hamstring problem. Jeffery has caught a touchdown pass in three of his past four games entering Thursday's game at Detroit."

Jay Cutler:

Thanksgiving first-timer Cutler is looking forward to the game, and also hanging out with his burgeoning family. "I've never played on Thanksgiving, so I think that's going to be fun," the quarterback said via chicagobears.com. "We play the early game, so we'll be able to get home and enjoy time with our family."

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys at 4.30 p.m. EST

Who to Watch For:

Tony Romo:

How's that back injury going? "You don't really think about it," Romo told the Dallas Morning News. That's good! You've got a broken back Tony; it's probably best to not think about it.

Dez Bryant:

Well, Dez has spent the week on his instagram throwing the Hov Hex.

But also took issue with LeSean McCoy saying he "owns Dallas". Said Bryant according to The Dallas Morning News: "Well, we'll have to see about that tomorrow. We'll see if he owns Dallas or not. I'm not really into going back and forth with anybody. I just stick to between these white lines."

An excitement machine on the field, he's downplaying Thanksgiving, saying the game against their hated division rival Seahawks is "Just another game we need to win to get into the playoffs", according to 49ers.com.

Aldon Smith:

He finally got back on the field as a starter last week following his return from suspension on DUI and firearms charges a week earlier. And you bet he's excited to be playing this week. "I don't have as many hits on my body as the guys who have been playing," Smith told the Associated Press. "Hopefully that comes into play and matters Thursday."
