WWE Rumors: Fallout from CM Punk's Podcast on Art of Wrestling with Colt Cabana
CM Punk finally broke his silence on his departure from WWE when he appeared on the Art of Wrestling podcast with his good friend Colt Cabana on Thursday. Naturally, Punk's remarks have reportedly caused some ripple effects throughout the wrestling world, and the latest round of WWE rumors focus on how those within the business are reacting.
Punk makes some extremely harsh comments about Ryback (who went on Twitter to address Punk's comments) during the podcast, but he also has some choice words about Triple H. Figure Four Daily reports Hunter is furious with Punk after hearing the remarks.
Punk describes on the podcast how he addressed Triple H during his last meeting with Hunter and Vince McMahon in Cleveland in January. He detailed why he did not love wrestling anymore and specifically mentioned that he resented Triple H for not putting him over in 2011. The plan for WrestleMania 30 was for Punk to beat Triple H, but Punk said he didn't even care that he was supposed to beat Hunter. "I don't need to work with you at WrestleMania. You need to work with me," Punk told him in Cleveland. Hunter is reportedly furious that this story is now public.
As you might expect, Colt Cabana is now persona non grata within WWE.
On the flip side, Bryan Alvarez reports that the locker room actually reacted quite positively, even among those who don't particularly like CM Punk and were happy he left. Much of the talent was pleased that he addressed many issues on which others in the locker room are unable or unwilling to speak.
