Kelly Clarkson 'Wrapped In Red' Christmas Music Video Released: 'American Idol' Alum Xmas Song Premiere
It's the happiest time of the year, and with that comes new Christmas music for our listening pleasure. Kelly Clarkson may have released her first Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, last holiday season, but we have definitely been guilty of playing it almost on repeat since it was released.
Well, to gear up for the start of the 2014 holiday season, Clarkson has debuted her new music video for the title track on her Christmas album "Wrapped In Red."
The sultry Christmas song, one of our favorites on the whole album, is one that can stand the test of time, and we're so excited that the former American Idol has finally decided to give her fans what they've been asking for: a premiere video for the song.
The music video shows Clarkson belting out the song while home movies of holiday activities play in the background. It might be a simple and straightforward video, but it has that perfect Christmas feel to it that everyone needs this time of year.
And for all those holiday movie buffs, the song was actually written by Clarkson after waking up to the movie Love, Actually and being inspired by Andrew Lincolns's character professing his love to Keira Knightley's but using cue cards, according to People.
Kelly has been making her way back to the music scene after giving birth to her daughter River Rose in June, and she has been teasing fans that a new single off her upcoming album will debut in January.
And we personally can't wait for the return of our first Idol.
