Last Man On Earth has landed three new actors for the midseason series. The FOX comedy premieres on Sunday, March 1 and stars Saturday Night Live alum Will Forte as the lead role. Now he will have four more actors to work alongside including Mad Men actress January Jones.

Forte's character Phil Miller was originally the only cast member announced for the upcoming comedy. Last Man on Earth will follow Phil, as he must come together with a stranger to overcome their differences and ultimately maintain the survival of the human race.

"The series will include flashbacks, so it's unclear how any of the new characters will be presented. That said, Jones' character of Melissa is being billed as a series regular in a November breakdown. She's described as having, a 'strong independent spirit' and a mixture of 'warmth, strength, and a no-nonsense attitude,'" The Hollywood Reporter reported.

In addition to Jones joining the cast, three other actors have signed on for the midseason pickup. Fighting of the Conchords' Kristen Schaal as Carol Pilbasian, Getting On's Mel Rodriguez as Todd and Step Up Revolution's Cleopatra Coleman as Erica will all appear in the series, but it is still unclear of how long they will star in the show.

"Rodriguez's Todd, also likely regular, is described as an optimist, while Coleman and Schaal will play Erica and Carol, respectively. Both characters are described as recurring at the moment with the possibility of regular status," THR explained.

According to the publication Forte is not only starring in the series, but he created and wrote it. Phil Lord (from The Lego Movie) and Chris Miller (also from The Lego Movie) are attached to the project as directors for the pilot. Drunk History's Seth Cohen and Will are also executive producers for the upcoming show according to TV Line.
