'The Flash' Recap: Grant Gustin's Barry Allen Meets DC Comics' Green Arrow, Prism In "The Flash vs. Arrow!"
In part one of the highly anticipated crossover, super villains and superheroes make their way from the DC Comics Universe on CW's The Flash. Under the influence of the Rainbow Raider aka Prism, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) has to face off against Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) in 'The Flash vs. Arrow.'
With his glowing red eyes, the Rainbow Raider causes a riot at a bank heist. The metahuman gets the attention of Queen (Amell) Felicity (Emily Brett Rickards) and Diggle (David Ramsey). As Eddie (Rick Cosnett) wants to stop the blur, Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) think the Green Arrow is a bad influence and is a dark presence, like Batman.
The Arrow team is there to deliver a boomerang to Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Caitlin runs around screaming in the lab after the boomerang is let loose. Though he doesn't want to, Ollie helps Barry with his metahuman.
At S.T.A.R. Labs, Wells discovers the Green Arrow's identity through Felicity. The Flash goes after Rainbow Raider by himself and ends up in a trap. Using his powers at full blast, the Rainbow Raider puts the Flash under his spell.
The rage inside Barry starts to show up as he argues with Caitlin, referring to her fiancee. After an argument with his captain, Joe notices Barry's glowing red eyes. During their training session, Barry mocks Ollie because he is powerless against him and he cannot match up.
While driving, Iris reveals she spoke to the red streak in person, which angers Eddie. All of a sudden, The Flash pulls Eddie out the car window and throws him onto the street. Just as the Flash is ready to pulverize Eddie, the Green Arrow shows up and is dragged into a fight.
Green Arrow and the Flash start beating each other senseless. Green Arrow says he still believes in the Flash, that he can stop this. Green Arrow holds on tight as he squeezes the Flash's fist.
Green Arrow holds onto the Flash as Wells and Joe blind him with different colored lights. Finally calmed down, the Flash is back to himself. The two go after Rainbow Raider and put him inside a prison cell.
As the Arrow team say their farewell, Harrison reveals he knew Ollie's father back in the day. Felicity asks Caitlin for help with the Canary's murder. As he leaves, Ollie reveals he is quite suspicious of Wells.
Ollie has one last advice for Barry, who is still hung up on Iris. Guys like them don't get the girls. Ollie then meets his former girlfriend, who is secretly raising his son.
While Iris breaks up with the Flash, Caitlin is looking at a photograph of herself and Robbie. Elsewhere, a homeless man is about to be robbed by two thugs. The homeless man suddenly turns his entire body into fire.
Eddie is running a task force to take down The Flash. Readers, what did you think of The Flash vs. Arrow?
