'Grey's Anatomy' Season 11 Spoilers: Meredith And Derek Splitting? April And Jackson's Baby Drama? Will Dr. Herman Survive Brain Tumor?
Grey's Anatomy just left us with some pretty big, unanswered questions during the winter finale last week, including what's going to happen to April and Jackson's baby, will Amelia be able to operate on Dr. Herman and did Derek really take that job in Washington? If you are anything like us, the thought of waiting more than a month to learn the answer to these questions is kind of torture. Well, lucky for you, we've got some juicy spoilers on what's still to come later this season, and who better to spill the beans then the cast themselves, including Ellen Pompeo, Caterina Scorsone and Jerrika Hinton.
The stars sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to talk all things Grey's.
When trying to figure out what's going to become of Dr. Herman now that Arizona has told Amelia Shepherd about her brain tumor, the entertainment news site went right to the source and got Caterina Scorsone's, who plays Amelia, opinion on how Dr. Herman will react to this life-changing news.
"With shock and dubiousness!" Caterina explains of Herman's reaction. "Amelia is this young whippersnapper with a very bold plan and Dr. Herman has heard it all before and doesn't suffer fools. Amelia is going to have to do some pretty delicate dancing to convince Dr. Herman that this is a good idea to try."
And don't think Caterina knows how everything is going to turn out, as she told E! Online that she is just as big of a fan of the show, so she can't wait to see how things turn out either.
"I'm a fan of the show, too, so i'm just so excited to see it return," the actress revealed. "I can't wait to see how all the particular stories unfold."
Another medical mystery is Jackson and April's baby. So what does Jerrika Hinton, who plays Stephanie Edwards, think now that she's the doctor who discovered the baby's deformity?
"There's a lot of guilt because she's the one that found it out, so that makes it messy for her internally," the star explained. "I don't think there's any sense of, 'This is some kind of karmic thing,' this is a genuinely horrible thing to happen to somebody."
As for Derek's departure to D.C., Ellen Pompeo says her character Meredith will start forming an unlikely bond with her half-sister in Derek's absence.
"Meredith and Maggie are finding a friendship," the star explained. "There's got to be something to structurally replace that Meredith and Cristina relationship, so that makes sense."
Grey's Anatomy will return Jan. 29 after its long winter hiatus.
