'Doctor Who' Season 9 Plot Details - Is Master "Missy" Returning in 2015? Steven Moffat Asked Michelle Gomez To Come Back In New Episodes!
Season 9 of the BBC's Doctor Who is sure to be full of some of the best episodes of the series' history, but this week we learned that we could see the return of one of 2014's best characters: Missy! We now know this character as the female version of The Doctor's Time-Lord nemesis, The Master, but we might just prefer this updated character played by actress Michelle Gomez. It looks like head writer Steven Moffat also loved Gomez's portrayal because he's asked her to return! (SPOILERS to follow)
We previously reported on Gomez commenting on Missy and teasing a return. Check out a video of this interview right here:
Plus, just last month Gomez said that she was returning, even though her character looked like she died.
"'Yes' is my answer. I'll be back" she told Doctor Who Magazine, according to Den of Geek. "Can I say that? Am I allowed? If not... well, I guess we'll have to see how she's received..."

But now we have Moffat's confirmation.
"I've already asked her to come back," Moffat told Radio Times. "I can't imagine anyone who's ever watched this genre being convinced that she's dead. The Master is never dead, no matter what happens to him or her. She's entirely unzappable!"
"Supervillains don't die, do they? I wouldn't trust anything about that character's ability to lie down and stop breathing," he said, according to Metro.
