CW's 'The Flash' Spoilers: Will Grant Gustin's Barry Allen "Break The Neck" Of Reverse-Flash? [WATCH]
With The Flash gaining speed with its first crossover event on the CW network, the superhero TV show heads towards the finish line with its mid-season finale. Face to face with the man who murdered his mother, will Grant Gustin (Barry Allen) ultimately meet his dark side and "break the neck" of super villain, the Reverse-Flash?
In our first recap, Barry (Gustin) was just a little boy when he witnessed the death of his mother. In his eyewitness account, Barry described a man in a yellow suit before he whisked away from his house. Though Henry Allen (John Wesley Shipp) was framed for his wife's murder, Barry become a cop to find the man who actually committed the crime.
The Reverse-Flash showed up again, this time in front of Joe West (Jesse L. Martin). While Joe was investigating the case, he even named Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) as a suspect. The Reverse-Flash rushed in, stole Joe's case files, and threatened the life of his daughter, Iris (Candice Patton).
Gustin confirms to TV Line that Barry will meet his mother's killer, "It's kind of a relief in some ways, because it confirms that Barry isn't crazy and that what he thought he saw as a kid is true. Now he is more determined than ever to find this guy and stop him, kill him. This might be a special circumstance where Barry would break a neck."
In the comics, the Reverse Flash kills Iris West and attempts to kill Barry's wife, Fiona, on their wedding day. Knowing he will kill again, the Flash wraps his arms around the Reverse-Flash and snaps his neck. The issue ends on a shocking cliffhanger as the Flash places himself under arrest.

If the TV series follows the comics, the Flash getting revenge on the Reverse-Flash gives Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) enough reason to unleash his task force against the scarlet speedster.
The mid-season finale of The Flash airs December 9 at 8pm on the CW. Readers, are you excited to see the Reverse-Flash?
