Kelly Rowland Mourns The Death of Her Mother, Miss Doris Rowland Garrison With Photos of her and her Son - Says "You Make Me Happy When Skies Are Grey" [PHOTOS]

Kelly Rowland is taking things one at step at a time and trying to get through the death of her mother. MStars News previously reported that Rowland's mother, Mrs. Doris Rowland Garrison died Tuesday, Dec. 2 from an unknown illness that she had been battling for a long time.

Rowland said her final goodbyes Saturday, Dec. 6 in Decatur, Georgia where her mother's funeral was held at the New Beginning Full Gospel Baptist Church and ministered by Bishop James Morton.

During her time of mourning, Rowland decided to upload an intimate photo of herself spending some mother-son, one-on-one time. In the pic, she cradling her first born son, Titan Jewell Weatherspoon, whom she had just one month ago.

Kelly captioned the sweet photo with a lullaby we all know. She wrote, "My only sunshine......you make me happy, when skies are grey"

Besides having some tough times this year, Kelly also had some great moments. The singer not only had her first child, Nov. 4, but she also got married back in May, to Tim Weatherspoon.

Rowland wasn't the only entertainer mourning the loss of their mother this week. MStars News previously reported that The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Todd Tucker lost his mother, Miss Sharon, to a fatal stroke in New York City on the same day that Mrs. Doris Garrison died.

Miss Sharon was also laid to rest Saturday, where her body was carried in a white horse carriage.
